What is actually occupying the mind? Recognising the worry, expectation, desire or pressure that is influencing attention is itself a skill.
A Kogniseed method
A structured practice for choosing a constructive mental direction and training attention to return to it consistently, including under pressure.
Recognise what is disturbing or occupying the mind.
Select a thought to choose your seed.
What it is
Seeded Meditation™ develops the practical capacity to direct attention, protect it and return it deliberately to a chosen focus.
The process begins by identifying and clearing what is disturbing or occupying the mind. A chosen direction is then established as the “seed”, strengthened through focused attention and visualisation, protected from distractions and opposing thoughts, and reinforced through repeated practice and application.
The underlying idea
Attention gives the seed strength and direction. As practice becomes steadier, the chosen direction becomes easier to hold in mind and return to.
The conditions around us can support that direction, compete with it or pull us away from it. Seeded Meditation™ develops the ability to recognise those influences and respond to them more deliberately.
The five phases
Each phase builds a distinct capacity. Together they form a practice that can be used in a guided session and translated into everyday life.
What is actually occupying the mind? Recognising the worry, expectation, desire or pressure that is influencing attention is itself a skill.
Ask what you want to move towards. The seed emerges from what you want to strengthen, shifting the mind from reaction towards intention.
Give the chosen direction clear form through focused attention and visualisation, returning to it each time the mind wanders.
Recognise when competing demands have taken attention and practise bringing it back deliberately, without force or suppression.
Reinforce the direction through repetition, reflection and application in work, study, demanding conversations and everyday life.
In each session
The practice is not presented as an isolated exercise. Participants understand the ideas, experience the method and examine how it applies to their own context.
Theory
A concise explanation of the principles and mental processes behind the practice.
Guided practice
A structured session adapted to the participant’s context and chosen direction.
Reflection
Questions, feedback and discussion to translate the practice into everyday use.
Experience the method
The clearest way to understand Seeded Meditation™ is to practise it with guidance and reflect on how it works in your own context.
