Frequently asked questions
About Kogniseed, Seeded Meditation™, the current beta and what participation involves.
About the beta
Programme and participation
What is the Kogniseed beta?
The beta is the first formal Kogniseed programme introducing the foundational Seeded Meditation™ process. It consists of four guided sessions of approximately 45–60 minutes over three to four weeks. Participants experience the method and provide structured feedback that informs programme development.
Who is the beta for?
It is intended for adults experiencing real demands on attention in professional, academic or personal life, as well as organisations exploring structured mental training for their teams. No previous meditation or yoga experience is required.
How many people are being accepted?
The beta is intentionally small so that each participant can receive appropriate attention and provide meaningful feedback. The discovery call helps both sides decide whether the current programme is a good fit.
Is there a cost to participate?
Participation is currently offered free of charge in exchange for serious engagement, practice between sessions and structured feedback on both the method and participant experience.
What happens after I submit the form?
We will contact you to arrange a brief discovery call. This is a no-commitment conversation to understand your context, answer questions and decide together whether proceeding makes sense.
The method
Seeded Meditation™
What is Seeded Meditation™?
It is a structured practice for choosing a constructive mental direction and training attention to return to it consistently. The process identifies what is disturbing or occupying the mind, establishes a chosen direction as the seed, protects it from competing influences and reinforces it through practice and application.
Is the aim to relax or empty the mind?
No. Relaxation may occur, but it is not the defining purpose. The aim is to develop a practical capacity to understand, direct and protect attention and use it more deliberately.
Is this a mindfulness programme?
No. Kogniseed is not designed as a mindfulness programme. Mindfulness commonly emphasises awareness of present-moment experience; Seeded Meditation™ explicitly asks what the practitioner wants to move towards and trains attention around that consciously chosen direction. The practices may be complementary, but their organising aims are different.
Do I need previous meditation experience?
No. The foundational programme is designed to be accessible without previous experience. People who have meditated before may find the practice more structured and directive than approaches they already know.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Some people notice a shift during the guided practice itself. The more useful question is whether the capacity becomes available in everyday life. That develops through repetition, application between sessions and reflection on what is changing.
Practical details
Sessions and safety
Are sessions online or in person?
The beta can be delivered online or in person depending on participant location and the agreed arrangement. Organisational programmes are discussed separately and shaped around context.
How much time do I need to commit?
Four sessions of approximately 45–60 minutes over three to four weeks, along with brief independent practice and a short feedback activity after sessions.
What language are sessions conducted in?
The current beta is delivered in English. The French website allows French-speaking individuals and organisations to understand the approach and make an enquiry; any language requirements should be discussed during the discovery call.
Is Kogniseed a medical or therapeutic intervention?
No. Kogniseed does not diagnose, treat or prevent a health condition and does not replace medical, psychological or occupational-health care. If you have a health condition that may affect participation, consult an appropriate healthcare professional and disclose relevant context during the discovery call.
What happens to the information I provide?
Application information is used to review your enquiry, arrange the discovery process and administer potential participation. Please read the Privacy Policy for the complete explanation.
